Rowing My Boat Ashore

If you are picturing a boat with the author relaxing as it meanders down the river you will be surprised shortly after beginning to read Doris Clark’s memoir. The current was not always a calm one for our author. You will find pages of joy and laughter, pain and sorrow, naivete and wisdom within its pages. Not missing a beat, Rowing My Boat Ashore, takes the reader on a journey of unimaginable growth.

It began with journaling to help sort out forgotten feelings. It soon turned into a legacy for her children. Once Doris realized the possible benefit that it may have for other readers, she searched for an editor to find out if it was, indeed, a worthy effort. Being reassured that it had the potential to help others, Doris began to write in earnest. An author was born.
